January - Its investment time

With only few investment option now days, and as per new govt. tax policy, investment is peace of cake now days. I normally invest in NSC, PPF, and Insurance but this time I am planning to go for mutual funds even if it’s not save me some tax.
Once I thought about investing in stock but I am not sure I am prepared for it. Recently, one of my friends gave me an advice to invest in Art, but it’s too costly and risky. I think best will be start with MF and slowly expand it to Stock and Art.
