Hacking Mac OS X

With the news coming everyday about different vulnerabilities and patches in Apple OS X operating system, will it have the same fate as of Microsoft XP?
Who knows? But I think if we have so many hackers working to crack OS X as we have on Windows XP, I am sure it will bend down its knees pretty early.
Gaining root access to a Mac is “easy pickings,” according to an individual who won an OS X hacking challenge last month by gaining root control of a machine using an unpublished security vulnerability.
