Run IE, Firefox 1.5 is coming!

October 25th, 2005

Apart from new “Sanitize” privacy feature that provide an easy way to browse history, cookies etc. and Fast back and forward (experimental), Firefox 1.5 will have some solid improvements for CSS especially CSS3 and JavaScript/DOM.

Few of the noticeable new CSS/JavaScript features introduced in version 1.5 are CSS3 Columns and Cursor support, Outline property and Counters, new JavaScript Arrays and XML events.

1.5 will support CSS3‘s new multi-column (working draft) feature that will help in creating multi-column website with more ease. It will support mouse cursor naming and CSS3 Counters through which you can automatically number headings, sections etc. by CSS only.

I am not sure about Opera features when we talk about supporting latest CSS and JavaScript version and standards, but I think Firefox will going to rule in future.

Btw latest stats of BBC.co.uk shows, Firfox is way ahead of Opera though it still lag behind IE with solid margin
