i have been using airtel lifetime prepaid for past 1 month now and feel very sick in front of those who r using airtel's 6 month validity pack or any other connection.as such i have no problem with my prepaid bt the only thing is that plz bring some special schemes for sms's and all to lifetime pack also.i have to go in for a lot of sms's bt feel very bad for myself that why i checked only airtel.really feels bad for myself.plz either bring some special scheme for airtel or else bring some condition for those who want to surrender their airtel lifetime.and bharti cellular this is to tell u that m nt the only 1 who want to surrender this there are a lot of people and if you want to check it try bringing this wonderful scheme of surrendering the cards and see the response.
if you really want your customer's to be happy let them define their own happiness than on themself.

I am using Airtel lifetime for last 4 months. According to airtel support here. Any of the three conditions must be fulfilled for the connection to remain active.

Secondly, making balance zero is difficult, since if the balance is below Rs 2 you can not call and if in a conversation it will get disconnected(it has happend to me twice).

I am able to make the balance negative two times, and recharged on the same day and my connection is still active. To make balance negative you have to send SMS (outgoing call not possible).

I do not know if they tell I will loose the connection if balance is zero and it did not happened to me because my balance was never zero, it was either +(Plus) or -(Minus) :-).

Let the debate continue on the fine prints of airtel......
Thanks

Below is the excerpt from airtel lifetime terms and conditions:
Now does it mean one has to do all three things within the 6 month period to keep connection alive? Or any one of them?
The way I understand it is, if any of the three things do not happen. So if I recieve calls, recharge the phone but do not make and outgoing call, my connection will be deactivated?

"6)Connection will be permanently deactivated if either of the following events i.e no incoming / outgoing / recharge happens for any continuous period of 6 months.
On all subsequent recharge, Full Talk time, (excluding Taxes) will be applicable on all paper Recharge coupons and selective denominations of Easy charge"

If the license is valid upto Sept 2021,the expiry date for airtime and service should have been 2021 with other conditions such as recharge with Rs.50 for every 6 months. It gives real impression what Lifetime Prepaid means.
Becasue in my case Nov 2008 was given as expirty date.

It is better to have a furhter minimum recharge coupons like Hutch mini 10 to enable the small group .

Nice said Vinod. Thats what I heard when I visited Airtel Showroom. The Card would initially cost 999 carring a validity of Rs. 25. Then local costs would cost 2rs be it Airtel or be it a Reliance. Any STD calls would cost rs 3. I think its a fair deal if the person uses mobile mainly for incoming facilities. I personally use 2 connections one BSNL and the other Airtel and I think this servive suits me.

Validity for lifetime is applicable as per license period of the circle and is subject to change in case any regulatory and licensing condition changes in the future. The validity of the existing licence is 21-Sep-2021
recharge after every 6 months
